S is for Sultan's Palace
#a2zartchallenge -
This majestic and grandiose palace is the home of The Sultan of Agrabah, and his daughter, Princess Jasmine. The building itself can be seen from all corners of Agrabah, and is mainly based on the design of the real life Taj Mahal in India. It is seen differently by the characters, as Aladdin sees the palace as an aspiration and the dream location to live his life, whereas Jasmine references that she feels as though the palace is a prison as she rarely leaves the grounds.

These views of the Palace play important roles in the film as Aladdin show Jasmine a whole new world on their magic carpet ride as a brief escape from the grounds, and The Genie grants Aladdin’s wish and create a precession for the fabulous Prince Ali to make his way to the palace to gain Jasmine’s affections.
